Congratulations to Indhu Rammohan, winner of the 2025 ISSDP Excellence in Research Award for her work titled ‘Overdose mortality incidence and supervised consumption services in Toronto, Canada: an ecological study and spatial analysis.’

This award recognizes a piece of research with a substantial contribution to drug policy research, addressing its methods, data, theoretical models or frameworks in the current world. The committee recognized the paper as a “very elegant, well-executed, and important study,” with new evidence for the introduction of supervised consumption sites (SCS) in reducing overdose mortality. Her work is also recognized for its relevant design.
